Cyber Security at the Extreme Edge: Where Business and Consumer Converge

Simply put, good cyber security is good business, and nowhere is security more at risk than at the perimeter of ISP networks. The once well-defined line dividing enterprise network access and consumer/end user Internet usage is quickly blurring, and this shift presents issues which service providers must take into account if they are to continue to prosper.

At ISPCON, Washington Post security reporter Brian Krebs will pose the tough questions surrounding the imminent security issues that accompany the convergence of business and consumer Internet user categories to renowned cyber security expert Howard A. Schmidt.

Furthermore, Mr. Schmidt will issue his call-to-action to independent service providers to take the lead in educating their customers not only to become more security-savvy Internet users; but also do what they can do to secure the end points of their networks and providing security services to their customer base as part of the core business process.

Howard A. Schmidt CISSP, CISM, Chairman, Electronic Lifestyle Integration, Inc.
